Please remember that we will be outside for most of the day. It is extremely important that participants come prepared for cold weather, or at least a chilly morning! Students should wear sturdy outdoor footwear and dress in accordance with the forecast for that day such as layered clothing, raincoats, gloves, etc. The FREC is located within 4 square miles of wooded pinelands along the headwaters of the Toms River. The FREC is a "carry-in, carry-out" facility so please be prepared to take your trash with you when you depart.

  • Participants must bring a bagged lunch & drink. Unfortunately, the building is not available for lunch.
