The Aquatics station covers many topics relating to water such as water chemistry, the hydrologic cycle, aquifers, watersheds, water pollution, water management, wetlands, biological and chemical monitoring, water regulations, water uses, aquatic invasive species, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and water conservation. The Forestry station will expose students to a broad range of forest-related topics, such as tree identification, forest ecology, forest health and management, silvicultural practices, use of forestry tools and measuring devices, and understanding forests as wildlife habitat. Read more...
Soils
The Soils station covers many topics relating to soils including factors and processes of soil formation, physical and chemical properties of soil, soil inventory and mapping, interpretations for use and management of soils, soil health/soil quality, USGS topographic mapping, and New Jersey-specific surficial and bedrock geology. Wildlife
This station includes many wildlife-related topics such as natural history, conservation, habitat requirements and management, ecological concepts, invasive species, threatened and endangered species, and identification from mounted specimens, calls and tracks. Read more...
